Light reflection navigation and positioning technology for mobile robots
The typical light reflection navigation positioning method mainly uses laser or infrared sensors for ranging. Laser and infrared both use light reflection technology for navigation and positioning.
The laser global positioning system generally consists of a laser rotating mechanism, a reflector, an optoelectronic receiving device, and a data acquisition and transmission device.
During operation, the laser is emitted outward through a rotating mirror mechanism. When scanning a cooperative landmark composed of a backward reflector, the reflected light is processed by a photoelectric receiver as a detection signal. The data acquisition program is started to read the code disk data of the rotating mechanism (the measured angle value of the target), and then transmitted to the upper computer for data processing through communication. Based on the known position of the landmark and the detected information, The current position and direction of the sensor in the landmark coordinate system can be calculated to achieve further navigation and positioning.
Laser ranging has the advantages of narrow beam, good parallelism, small scattering, and high resolution in ranging direction, but it is also greatly affected by environmental factors. Therefore, how to denoise the collected signal when using laser ranging is also a major challenge. In addition, laser ranging also has blind spots, making it difficult to achieve navigation and positioning solely by laser. In industrial applications, Generally, it is still widely used in industrial on-site testing within a specific range, such as detecting pipeline cracks.
Infrared sensing technology is often used in multi joint robot obstacle avoidance systems to form a large area of robot "sensitive skin" that covers the surface of the robot arm and can detect various objects encountered by the robot arm during operation.
A typical infrared sensor includes a solid-state light-emitting diode that can emit infrared light and a solid-state photosensitive diode that serves as a receiver. The modulated signal is emitted by an infrared light emitting tube, and the infrared photosensitive tube receives the infrared modulated signal reflected by the target. The elimination of environmental infrared interference is ensured by signal modulation and a dedicated infrared filter. If the output signal Vo represents the voltage output of the reflected light intensity, then Vo is a function of the distance between the probe and the workpiece: Vo=f (x, p), where p is the reflection coefficient of the workpiece. P is related to the surface color and roughness of the target object. X - Distance between the probe and the workpiece.
When the workpiece is a target of the same type with the same p-value, x and Vo correspond one-to-one. X can be obtained by interpolating the experimental data of proximity measurements of various target objects. In this way, the distance between the robot and the target object can be measured using infrared sensors, and other information processing methods can also be used to navigate and locate the mobile robot.
Although infrared sensing positioning also has advantages such as high sensitivity, simple structure, and low cost, due to their high angle resolution and low distance resolution, they are commonly used as proximity sensors in mobile robots to detect approaching or sudden movement obstacles, facilitating emergency stopping of robots.
About the company
Our guide rail has cooperated with many international well-known robot brands, such as ABB KUKA FANUC Yaskawa UR. The companies involved mainly include palletizing, loading and unloading. The load of the guide rail ranges from 500kg to 5000kg. The length of the guide rail is customized according to the needs of customers. We have made a case that an ABB IRB6700 robot corresponds to 20 CNC machines, and a 50m long guide rail completes the reciprocating motion, loading and unloading of the robot. The number of robots is greatly reduced and the integration cost is saved.
Our company also offers industrial robots at very favorable prices to place orders together at lower prices.
